We use Pyrethrum, which has been approved by federal agencies for use around food processing plants and restaurants. Pyrethrum is biodegradable and is sought for in the post harvest treatment of fruits and vegetables. Its is an extract of chrysanthemum flowers.
How safe is the insect misting system?
Pyrethrum is clear and free of allergens. Furthermore it has low toxicity level and is water based and biodegradable.
Will it the insect misting system harm my pets?
Used as intructed the insecticide is considered non-toxic to mammals. It has been used in agriculture and equine applications for a quater century with no known harmful effects.
How often should the timer be set on my mosquito misting system?
Let nature be your guide. In early spring 2-3 times per day for 45-60 second intervals. In no instance you should exceed 6 times per day. That is when the remote control unit comes handy as you can activate as demand requires on the spot, without leaving your chair.
How long before I refill the mosquito misting system?
The frequency depends on the number of nozzles, number of spray every 24 hours and the length of each spray. An average system requires a refill every three months.
What type of maintenance will be required for the mosquito misting system?
All maintenance will be done by Mosquito Pro of South Florida, LLC. Intake filter will be washed, tank will be washed out, nozzles checked and replaced if needed at no cost to you as long as we are the supplier.
